These are the currently reported problems with the Image Editor, classified as severe, moderate, minor, or likely to be in ImageVision itself. Additional information may be available as indicated.

Older problems are also archived.

Severe:

• BAD GLX Drawable exits application.

Moderate:

• Generating VRML scenes gets the wrong elevations.
• JPEG Images can not be read without SGI patch 1900 for Inventor 2.1.2 under IRIX 6.2. This should not be a problem with later version of Inventor.
• Moving image directories may lose the reference.
• Blend does not allow alpha images to be changed.

Minor:

• The False Color operator has trouble if the bias is changed.
• Proj Warp shows internal parameters in the Proj Details window.
• The Histogram Panel ROI can only be set via the ROI tool, needs controls.
• ROI does not have controls for the background pixel.
• Piecewise Img is sluggish when first opened. Close and Reopen to avoid it.
• Switch Img does not resize the image properly. Select and use Home.

Problems suspected as ImageVision itself rather than the Image Editor

Some may be a misunderstanding of how the parameters of an operator should work. These are bugs for which no workaround was found.

• Color Img produces bogus histograms with random results.
• Div Img drops a core when the check toggle is unset.
• Frequency domain operators fail when run with debug libraries.
• Blend can be forced into invalid states.
• The ilOpImg bias should not be a modifable parameter for Log.
• Warp of a Sub Img accesses outside the cropped region.
• Sobel results seem sensitive to the additive bias when they should not be.
• The Compass operator cannot change the kernel size.
• Subtracting Images sometimes produces bad results with HW acceleration on.
